Description: Mount Auburn Hospital is looking of Departmental Manager, OB/GYN right now, this vacancy will be placed in Massachusetts. Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for budget preparation and administration, accounting, and reporting for both Mount Auburn Hospital OB/GYN Administrative and Newborn Services Budgets, as well as Harvard Medical School Clerkship fund, Special Teaching Allocation, and Montraville Green Chair Endowment Budgets, in order to maximize efficient use of funding and ensuring compliance with both institutions fiduciary policies, regulations, and reporting software and systems.

2. Responsible for the hiring, supervision, evaluation and development of Ob/Gyn and Newborn Services administrative personnel. Manages application, credentialing, and other documentation for Medical and Associate staff appointments, Harvard Medical School Academic Faculty appointments, Residents and medical, nursing, physician assistant and midwifery students. Conducts regular staff meetings for discussion of problems and solutions. Interprets and administers Human Resources policies and Payroll Administration for Ob/Gyn Administration and Newborn Services.

3. Oversees the management information system and report generation process (multiple reports to Mount Auburn Quality and Safety Department and Ob/Gyn Department Quality Improvement Committees, Medicaid/Mass Health, Department of Public Health and Residency Review Committee); Development of departmental Quality Improvement data bases and reports, Perinatal Data System.

4. Oversees the Ob/Gyn Departmental Clinical and Quality Improvement research projects, ensuring compliance with Federal government guidelines, HIPAA, and IRB guidelines.

5. Acts as Chief Advisor to Department Chairman for non-clinical issues; Collaborates with Division Chiefs and practice administrators to accomplish long term and short term departmental and institutional goals. Advises and directs Clinical Services, OB Care, Quality Assurance and Perinatal Care Committees.

6. Advises on and directs departmental Academic Medical Education activities: Grand Rounds, Quarterly CME Seminars, and appointment, credentialing and financial aspects of Urogynecology Fellowship Program; Liaison with educational accreditation agencies for Department sponsored CME programs: Mount Auburn Hospital Department of Medical Education/Massachusetts Medical Society, Massachusetts Association of Registered Nurses, American College of Nurse-Midwives and National Association of Social Workers.

7. Provides oversight to administrators of all Ob/Gyn Administrative Divisions, Midwife/Physician Ob/Gyn Practices, Operating Room, Emergency Department, Department of Anaesthesiology and Labor and Delivery/Postpartum Nursing floors to ensure compliance with established practices and to implement new policies and alert medical, administrative and nursing staff of changes and current standards.
