LDRP RN needed in North Adams, MA!Job Title: RN - LDRP (nights/temp)Unit: MaternityUnit Description: Level 1! nursery where high risk mothers and babies are transferred to a tertiary center in Springfield. All of the nurses rotate through labor and delivery, post partum and nursery. We occasionally have clean surgical patients when the unit is quiet.
We have a C-Section OR room on the unit and the role of the OB nurse is care of the baby not scrubbing as an OR nurse. We have 3 OB-GYN MDs and 1 nurse mid wife. We have a low C-Section rate , high breastfeeding rate and have epidurals available 24 hours per day. We have a lactation consultant on staff that sees outpatients on the unit after birth.
