Description: Hologic is in need of Clinical Sales Specialist - Indianapolis, Indiana right now, this vacancy will be placed in Massachusetts. The key responsibility of this position is to promote Hologic’s surgical product lines through the education of current and potential customers! , providing them with clinical education and technical support in an effort to provide world class service to our customers. This position will encompass case coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service and education for Hologic’s surgical products.
Position Responsibilities:
- Works independently to support surgical cases with local physicians and other clinicians for training and follow-up.
- Work independently without direct supervision in assessing the needs of customers and in providing training programs at customer facilities for physicians, hospital personnel and office staff. This is achieved by developing: one on one sessions, in-service education programs, seminars and/or outside symposiums
- Analyze and prepare reports, documenting training performance for all instruction provided to customers
- Maintains current knowledge about assigned products and services as well as competitive products and! disease states.
- Attends internal/external education ! meetings and reads appropriate professional journals to maintain and enhance skills and clinical competency.
- Stays current on the latest clinical data relating to all of Hologic’s products.
- Educates the Sales Team on all of the current clinical data and new developments regarding Hologic’s products, including how these developments can provide clinical benefits and patient safety.
- Shows clinical differences and patient outcomes between Hologic’s products and competitive products.
- Engage in basic market development activities depending upon the needs of the assigned geography.
- Determine best methods and needs for dealing with customer complaints, troubleshooting issues, and public relations, and coordinate and liaison with other departments as necessary
- This is a field position and will require 50-75% travel.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

- 5 years of clinical experience in surgery with emphasis on OB-GYN preferred.
- Previous experience in formal Clinical Educator role preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including ability to interact with medical staff, Sales, Marketing and Global Franchise Leaders.
- Effective teaching skills with ability to translate complex instructions clearly
- Ability to work with precision, accuracy and high attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written presentation skills
- Ability to analyze and recommend changes to training documents
- Ability to construct an effective training program
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Education
- RN, Surgical Tech, PA, or similar clinical credentialing required
- 4 year degree preferred Experience
- Previous industry experienc! e as a Clinical Specialist or sales representative preferred Specialize! d Knowledge
