Reporting to the Clinical Device Director and Assoc ! Director, this individual will have responsibility for coordinating activities across Subject Matter Expert Work (SME) Teams responsible for identifying available and preferred data from medical devices as part of the implementation of Partners

Care. In this role the successful candidate will facilitate discussions and meetings between representatives from across Partners’ sites with the goal of identifying a comprehensive set of data availability from in-scope medical devices for assigned applications.

In addition the Device Integration Epic Application Liaison will assist in the device integration strategies and efforts by the Clinical Device Team and Committee especially but not limited to the application domain of Obstetrics and Newborn Medicine.

Each application liaison will be responsible for 1 or more of the following clinical domains in the Partners eCare Epic system: critical care units (SICU, MICU, CCU, NICU, etc.), emergenc! y department, intra and perioperative units (OR, PACU, pre-op)! , labor and delivery units, surgical, medical, pediatric and newborn units, procedural units (cardiac intervention, endoscopy, etc.) and ambulatory and home care settings.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitate and support cross-site SME sub-work teams for assigned Epic application(s)

Coordinate the collection of available device data across sites for assigned applications. The obstetrical and newborn medicine liaison will focus on labor and delivery and neonatal ICU (NICU) settings. Coordinate the documentation of preferred device data, facilitate the prioritization of these preferences

Document gaps between available device data and preferred data

Present aggregated findings to the Clinical Device Committee

Supports departmental/ functional team with application and information system knowledge

Completes specific tasks as directed.

Tracks and resolves issues and action items

Recogni! zes, communicates, and escalates concerns relevant to critical path and/or timeline in a timely manner

Documents and analyzes processes used for data collection and prioritization

Develops subject matter expertise and maintains models and documentation of process and system requirements

Analyzes business processes to ensure alignment with objectives

Attends weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, change, communications, and updates

Post live implementation activities and production support

Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Respected clinician (RN or PA) with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or related is required.
  • Familiarity with Labor and Delivery and /or NICU devices such as fetal monitors or neonatal invasive and physiologic monitors and their workflow.
  • Ideally, experience in 1 or more of the clinical domains previousl! y described preferably in labor and delivery and /or NICU settings Mini! mum of 3 years related experience in clinical settings.
  • Some understanding of clinical workflow relevant to assigned application team.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with a broad range of bio-medical (e.g. infusion pumps, physiologic monitors) and end-user devices (e.g. computers or workstations on wheels, tablets or smart phones) in clinical settings.

  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively conduct small meetings, both formal and informal.
  • Self-motivated, independent and possesses the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds an levels within and external to the organization
  • Ability to assimilate and underst! and new software releases and succeed in a changing environment
  • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards.
  • Ability to document and communicate the status of progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary
  • Strong facilitation skills
Working Conditions

  • Standard business environment with frequent local travel to Partners sites
  • May require further travel for training
