The Mother/Baby Unit consists of 14 private rooms with a level 1b nursery. This unit provides care for mot! hers and infants in the immediate period after birth and through the early stages of postpartum to discharge. The working environment functions within a multidisciplinary and culturally sensitive approach to couplet care that fosters early family bonding. We have a full time (36-hpw) position available in our post partum Mother/Baby unit.
Qualifications/Experience: Candidates must have a current MA RN license. Current BLS and NRP certifications are required, along with a minimum of 3 years current Mother/Baby experience. Applicants should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with a multi-cultural patient population and a team approach to patient care. Current breastfeeding experience, incorporating Baby Friendly, is expected. External candidates must have BSN.
