The Nursing Informatics Specialist supporting Surgical Services implements, develops and maintains the functionality of the PICIS Perioperative systems/modules including OR Manager, Preop Manager, Anesthesia Manager, Smartrack and PACU Manager. In addition to providing daily end user support, this person provides analytical and technical skills/expertise necessary to produce high-level data access, reporting and analysis monitoring overall performance of the surgical services. This includes the use of technology in the direct provision of care, establishing effective administrative systems, providing training and written procedures/policies to surgical services users. Knowledge of PICIS Perioperative System required; Meditech experience preferred. Bachelors Degree in nursing required; Masters preferred. ANCC Nursing Informatics Certified preferred. Experience developing ! and presenting educational programs preferred. Demonstrated wo! rking knowledge of the clinical areas of Surgical Services, as well as CMS, hospital billing and finance, and materials management environments. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks and project components.
