Experience Necessary
We’re looking for a full-time RN/LPN to join our OB/GYN practice. This position serves as a nurse leader to assess, triage and prioritize the case management and care at an OBGYN practice.
Job Tasks
- Assisting in the provision of direct patient care
- Triaging telephone calls! , assessing symptoms and providing clinical advice appropriately
- Performing initial consultation with patients in the office
- Establishes priorities of patient-care based on patient assessment, needs and available unit resources of time, personnel, equipment and supplies
- Perform and document assessment in an ongoing and systematic manner
- Coordinating follow-up care of patients
- Providing practice management support and patient education
- Submits documentation in a timely, accurate, legible and concise manner
- Communicates with other staff members regarding patient condition
- Act as a clinical resource to support staff
- Works with minimal supervision, yet seeks assistance and direction when appropriate
- Demonstrates flexibility in staffing patterns and resolution of staffing conflicts
- Previous triage and OBGYN experience a requirement.
- Exception! al bedside manner and telephone skills
- Strong organiz! ational, computer and people management skills
- Excellent problem solver with great analytical skills
- Ability to perform job requirements under pressure.
- Must maintain effective written and oral communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude toward patients, physicians, coworkers and visitors
- Completed an accredited Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Program
- Licensed in Massachusetts by time of hire Current BCLS certification required
