Medical Billing Specialist
Multi-provider ob/gyn practice seeks experienced medical biller (full time). Must have excellent organizational, customer service, communication, time management, and computer skills as well as ex perience with CPT and ICD10 codes. Experience in an ob/gyn practice and/or Athena EMR is a plus! Responsibilities include:
- Review and prepare claims.
- Review and post payments.
- Research and appeal denials.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Work with patients to develop self pay arrangements and payment plans.
- Advise patients on the practice’s financial policies.
- Research and resolve patient billing questions or issues.
- Must exercise good judgement and discretion.
- Apply HIPAA privacy requirements to the handling of patient accounts.
