OVERALL OBJECTIVES:
We are looking for a specialist to plan, manage, and deliver the migration of content from on premise SharePoint to SharePoint Online for Eurofins. The scope of duties includes coordinating the execution with site owners, infrastructure teams and SharePoint SMEs; reporting and driving issue resolution; tracking overall implementation schedule and critical deliverables; and ensuring transparency to all stakeholders.
SharePoint migration from legacy on premise to Online is part of IT Infrastructure efforts to both address the upcoming end of vendor support for the current on-premises SharePoint and to create a Document Management System that meets Eurofins’ needs after IT segregation into multiple separate ADs.
Major stakeholders for the SharePoint Online migration in this scope are: SharePoint site owners, SharePoint site users, Workflow owners and users, the Collaboration Tools Team that supports the Eurofins SharePoint application, IT Infrastructure Support Crew for Service Centres and decentralised IT Support Teams, the IT Directors within the business to plan and initiate the projects, Group IT Infrastructure Competence & Standards Team, the Solution Teams who are requesting and consuming SharePoint, and the Group IT Infrastructure Transformation Program Manager.
Please note that this is one-year replacement contract with the possibility to extend.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will plan and execute SharePoint migration, in particular managing the implementation schedule, maintaining relations with stakeholders, taking care of issues and risk management, covering communication (including presenting, reporting, and building communication websites.)
Your scope of duties will also include communicating and coordinating plans and execution with site owners; recruiting, onboarding, and coaching SharePoint SMEs to ensure implementation execution; and facilitating issue resolution and driving decision-making processes across relevant stakeholder groups.
This role is a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to enable business requirements to be met during migration to a new system. You will have an opportunity to manage reporting and presenting progress to IT Management as well as to Sponsors & Business Stakeholders.
We are looking for a proven SharePoint Technical Implementation Manager with strong communication and overall leadership skills. Acting as a bridge builder and coach to achieve issue/conflict resolution, strong “can do” mentality, and used to working in global matrix organisations is highly desired. The ideal candidate would also have experience in managing remote teams across continents.
Technical Skills:
If you are familiar with SharePoint Online usage & configuration and have planned, managed, and delivered the migration of content from on premise SharePoint to SharePoint Online for organizations of a similar size to Eurofins (50,000+ users), you will be a great fit. Experience in managing global implementations, including internal customer communication, is necessary. You should have a proven ability to work with toolsets, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel and pivot tables, PowerPoint, and MS Project. You must feel confident managing C level stakeholders, and have a strong entrepreneurial drive and proven track record in employee engagement and team mobilisation.
Education and/or Experience:
We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 5+ years professional experience. PMP Certification will be a plus.
