Description: Springfield Anesthesia Service is currently seeking to employ Anesthesiologist right now, this position will be placed in Massachusetts. Excellent opportunities in multiple specialties including Regional, General, Cardiac, Pediatric, Pain, and Obstetrics are available in an expanding Private and Academic Practice at Baystate Health System in scenic western Massachusetts. Successful candidates can “specialize†in particular core areas and/or rotate through individual services such as Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neurosurgery, Ortho, Regional, Pediatric, Ambulatory Care, Pain, and Advanced Airway Management among others. Our staff provides thousands of regional blocks per year in over 45 anesthetizing locations to 36,000 patients. Our practice, Springfield Anesthesia Service (which provides all anesthesia services for the Department of Anesthesiology at Baystate Health System), has opportunities as “employee,†“partnership track,†and “leadership,†in this terrific blend of private practice in an academic setting. The practice opportunity serves the three Heath System hospitals in Greenfield, MA (Baystate Franklin Medical Center), Ware, MA (Baystate Mary Lane Hospital) and in Springfield MA (Baystate Medical Center).
Baystate has an accredited pain fellowship and performs > 4200 deliveries per year. We provide the anesthetic care for the majority of trauma and pediatric procedures in a large geographic area including two community hospitals and the Springfield Shriners Hospital for Children. We have recently added services to the Hospital of the Future in cardiovascular services and a new orthopedic surgery center. We have an integral anesthesia residency program with 32 PGY-1 to PGY-4 residents, and a similarly sized group of expert Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.
