MIT Medical is a large, multidisciplinary group practice located on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) campus in Cambridge, MA with a satellite facility in Lexington. Our mission is to provide both personalized medical care and community health promotion to the MIT Community. We use the latest information technologies, electronic medical records, and outreach strategies.
We provide care to the MIT community which includes 1,000 faculty, 10,900 students, 10,500 employees, 2500 children, 2500 spouses, and 2,000 retirees. We have various medical and surgical specialties, pediatrics, OB/GYN, mental health, radiology, clinical lab, and a pharmacy on-site. The Urgent Care Service is staffed by nurse practitioners and physicians and is open 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. - seven days per week, with over 15,000 visits annually. We seek a full-time physician with experience in adult primary care, either internal medicine or family medicine. Will serve as a member of a team of fifteen other primary care physicians and five nurse practitioners, with emphasis placed on working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. There are shared on-call responsibilities (1 in 11) with no inpatient responsibilities. There are opportunities for teaching at MIT Medical, on the MIT campus, and at area hospitals. Harvard Medical School faculty appointment.
A minimum of five years of post-residency clinical experience preferred. Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellent clinical skills and experience, a proven ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to work with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Candidates must be board certified in internal medicine or family medicine. Board certification must be maintained. Must have experience using EMR.
