MEDICAL DOCTOR-INTERNIST, MIT Medical, to serve as a member of a team of fifteen other primary care physicians and five nurse practitioners with emphasis placed on working with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. There are shared on-call responsibilities (1 in 11) with no inpatient responsibilities. There are also opportunities for teaching at MIT Medical, on the MIT campus, and at area hospitals.
MIT Medical provides care to the MIT community which includes 1,000 faculty, 10,900 students, 10,500 employees, 2,500 children, 2,500 spouses, and 2,000 retirees. There are a variety of on-site medical and surgical specialties, pediatrics, OB/GYN, mental health, radiology, clinical lab, and pharmacy. The Urgent Care Service is staffed by nurse practitioners and physicians and is open 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M., seven days per week, with over 15,000 visits annually.

REQUIREMENTS: excellent clinical skills and experience; experience in adult primary care, either internal medicine or family medicine; and proven ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to work with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. A minimum of five years' post-residency clinical experience preferred. Must be board certified in internal medicine or family medicine and certification must be maintained.
