An authorized Human Resources representative or the hiring manager may review your human resources file if you are selected as the finalist for a position. Internal applicants must meet all requirements and qualifications of the job posting.

In the event of a transfer within the Clinical Nurse Recognition Program the following guidelines apply: RN I, RN II and RN III will maintain their status and current pay rate according to the Clinical Ladder guidelines, contingent upon completion of a skills checklist specific to that unit within a mutually agreed upon time-frame established with the immediate manager.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the provision of nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with current BH Standards of Care. Administers and monitors patient response to therapeutic interventions. The nurse demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process as it relates to patients and families. The nurse is accountable for professional nursing practice. He/she collaborates with health team members, patients/families in the provision of care. Delegates to and provides direct supervision to other health team members as appropriate in the implementation of the patient care plan. The nurse acts as an advocate for patients/families/significant others. Also, he/she practices within accepted ethical and legal parameters of nursing. The Clinical Nurse Recognition Program (CNRP) for Professional Nurses at Baystate Medical Center and Baystate Mary Lane Hospital is a system designed to provide promotional opportunities for Registered Nurses involved in direct patient care.

The professional growth of nurses is stimulated and motivated when increasing levels of proficiency in clinical practice are recognized.

Qualifications

Has successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Current CPR certification required. Experience: Minimum 6 months or more RN experience. Education: Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Will consider licensed New Graduate RN with experience in hospital-based Obstetrics/Women's Health units.
