This position oversees the daily operations of OR suites and sterile processing.
Position focuses on m
aximiz! ing, program development and clinical practice, strategic planning, financial management, development of staff, (they grow a lot of their own surgical nurses), and succession planning.
There is AORN training program for new RNs in place.
This is a feeder training grounds for other nursing areas.
Surgical Services are offered in 3 areas across the campus to include an Outpatient Ortho Surgery Center(2-3 miles), a multi-specialty ASC, and a heart and vascular hospital.
About the dept.:
15 Rooms run per day (on average) this only includes inpatient surgeries.
100 FTE’s
Offers contemporary
services, with robotics in most of the specialties.
Net revenue budget, 60+Million.
Volumes: 12,300 cases/yearly.
Yearly bonus, performance based on:
- clinical quality indicators,
- Staff engagement
- Pat satisfaction
- Financial performance.
