Provid! es analytic support for the Quality programs, which includes working to extract, review, analyze, and report on clinical data,create reports and publications.
Constructs, manages and documents data files for clinical assessment, QI and research projects; organizes data suitable for statistical analysis; interprets and explains data; manages databases in order to detect trends related to outcomes; and provides input to study reports and abstracts/manuscripts.
As administrator for data management, provides comprehensive programming, database architecture, coordination of data pertaining to quality assurance, and web development. Manages the warehousing, analysis and maintenance of data from multiple data sources (hospital systems and others) and acts as the key liaison between the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and BIDMC Information Systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
Serves as departmental expert resource for customization, enh! ancement and maintenance of databases/applications (e.g., Obst! etrical Birth Log application) for Obstetrical and Gynecological clinical outcomes.
Manages issues which arise by systematically monitoring interfaces, system logs, and user issue reports, Troubleshooting independently but collaborating with Information Systems to resolve issues as needed
Managing the resolution of functional/user/configuration-related issues with vendor.
Facilitates enhancement of the databases by coordinating the implementation of new interfaces, ensuring the effective deployment of software upgrades, testing plans, data validation and super-user training
Facilitating joint planning with clinicians and ancillary supports to utilize systems to improve patient care requirements.
Collaborates with faculty, clinical staff, external academic collaborators, and research assistants, on a wide variety of clinical and/or academic projects. Determines the scope of work and specific user data requirements . Provides strat! egic and technical support for completion of data-intensive projects.
Validates and tests stability and accuracy of program and if necessary modifies the program design.
