The labor and delivery area is designed to promote a comfortable, home-like atmosphere, and birth partners are encouraged to participate, from prenatal classes through the birth, to staying the night and caring for baby. Among the unique services offered are
Specialized highly-skilled RN staff providing a continuity of care, from pre-natal classes through post-partum home visits
Nantucket's family practice physicians who provide holistic care and meet the needs of the entire family
Consulting physician in perinatology through our partnership with Beth Israel Hospital
Low patient-to-nurse ratio, providing personalized and extra special care
Comprehensive, individualized post-partum education
Certified lactation counselors to assist you with breastfee! ding in the hospital as well as after you go home
The adde! d convenience of being only minutes from your family and home!
Days/Eves/Nights - 8 hours shifts - Will Rotate
Births vary greatly during year (March is 30, June is 4)
RN will float to other units when census is slow on L&D.
