General Overview

Responsible for the recruitment of non-exempt and exempt positions throughout the Medical Center. Partner with hiring managers to develop an effective recruitment strategy. Source, s! creen and assess applicants, interviewing, and extending offer! s. Expected to manage 40 + open positions independently at any given time.

NSMC includes Salem Hospital in Salem, Massachusetts, and Union Hospital in Lynn, Massachusetts, both full-service community hospitals, as well as NSMC North Shore Children's Hospital, the NSMC Cancer Center, a freestanding cancer center in Peabody, Massachusetts, the NSMC Heart Center, and the NSMC Women's Center in Danvers, Massachusetts.

The affiliation with Partners, which includes Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women's hospitals, means that NSMC can offer a higher level of expertise and technology to patients on the North Shore.

NSMC Salem Hospital is a 275-bed community teaching hospital that provides a full range of adult and pediatric services, including medicine, surgery, emergency care, ambulatory care, obstetrics, neonatal care, gynecology, and psychiatry services. It is recognized as a regional referral center for cardiology, oncology, neurosurgery, ortho! pedics, and thoracic surgery services.

NSMC Union Hospital in Lynn is a 130-bed community hospital that provides adult medical and surgical services, including emergency care, ambulatory care, cardiology, psychiatry, oncology, and orthopedic services, as well as a pain center and advanced minimally invasive procedures for the residents of the North Shore.

Responsibilities

Job-specific Responsibilities (e.g. clerical, patient care, quality assurance, project management, etc.):

Work collaboratively with the HR Management team in all aspects of recruitment strategy and implementation.

Develop and apply creative recruiting solutions to NSMC recruiting challenges that are both cost effective and compliant with internal practice and employment law.

Regularly assess the internal and external labor climate for trends and developments.

Based on strategy, source, recruit, and intervie! w to screen candidates and present short list of top quality candidates! .

Effectively utilize our applicant tracking system, E-mail, and the Internet for communication and sourcing.

Internally market/promote recruiting services to employees and managers.

Determine appropriate salary for potential employees by conducting a salary analysis based on the guidelines administered through the NSMC Wage and Salary Department and other compensation information as available such as contracts.

Customer Service Responsibilities:
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Proven ability to source candidates utilizing applicant tracking systems and latest job board technology.

Proven ability to handle adverse situations and deal effectively with all levels of staff.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies

Superior interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; the ability to exercise excellent judgment and demonstrated success in sourcing, and ! strategy development. Must possess a basic knowledge of general human resources concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum three years Human Resource experience in a staffing/recruitment function.
