South Shore Medical Center (SSMC) is an independently owned, multi-specialty private practice of over 70 physicians engaged in internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, family medicine and obstetrics/gynecology. Since 1962, SSMC has provided primary medical care as well as a variety of specialty and ancillary services to patients throughout the SouthShore.

We are currently looking for experienced Medical Assistants for our Family/Internal/Ob/Gyn/Patient Wellness Departments. Duties would include p roviding quality medical care to South Shore Medical patients. Perform general medical assistant duties. Prepare the patient for the office visit, enter chief complaint an! d vital signs into the electronic medical record. Prepare equi! pment for procedures, chaperone and assist all procedures as needed. Follow up to office visit will include the administration of treatments and patient education.

Completion of a certified medical assistant program required. Strong computer and customer service skills required. One year in a similar environment preferred.
