Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Physician and/or RN in the practice will: perform patient assessment by accurately obtaining pertinent health information; accurately taking vitals signs and obtaining chief complaint related to the upcoming visit; is available to be a chaperone for any provider needing assistance; be able to assist with procedures: is an advocate for the patient; can perform the necessary clerical duties such as chart organization, scheduling appo! intments, completing all charting/billing forms answer calls a! nd direct appropriately; maintains patient confidentiality; establishes positive relationships with the patients displaying respect and a caring attitude during their interaction.
Qualifications:
HS Graduate or Equivalent
Must be a graduate of an approved/accredited medical assisting program.
AAMA, certification a plus
CPR
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar setting - OBGYN or Women's Health strongly preferred
What You Need to Know
Location - Wesson Women Clinic- Wesson Women Building
Hours - Per diem - flexibilty needed days and evenings
Clinic Hours
Monday, Tuesday and Friday 7:30 am -5:00 pm
Wednesday and Thursday 7:30am -8:00 pm
Per diem Medical Assistant will be crossed train to work as a Practice Associate
