Greater Boston Staffing is currently recruiting Medical Assistants for a full time, Temp-to-Hire position in Belmont.
Clinical responsibilities: Assist clinicians and providers in procedures, including: Vital Signs, Venipuncture, EKG’s, Urinalysis, Spirometry and Pulmonary Function Testing, and other clinical procedures as needed.Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment in exam rooms, sterilize instruments and maintain diagnostic equipment in appropriate working order. Follow established guidelines, policies and procedures.
Administrative Responsibilities: Provide a variety of front office and secretarial support to medical office staff, including: answering phones, taking messages, scheduling appointments, assisting patients with billing questions, patient call backs, all medical records correspondence. Look up CPT and ICD-10 coding. Enter and verify appropriate information in the electronic medical record (EMR), and practice management system. Work with the billing service and patients, and work under direction of administrative manager.
Qualified Candidates must have:
- High school diploma and Medical Assistant Certification are required.
- Previous experience in a busy medical practice, strong computer skills, experience with EMR, EPIC, Meditech, eCW, IDX systems preferred.
- Previous experience in obstetrics (externship experience in obstetrics will be considered)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Dedication to providing excellent customer service with a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-provider office is a must
