OPPORTUNITY

SUBSTITUTE FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Schedule: On-call

SALARY: $17.29/Hour


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will assist the District’s efforts in bringing nutrition education activities into the
classroom and cafeteria.
  • Cleans serving counters, tables, chairs, food containers, and other equipment.
  • Operates dishwasher and washes pots, pans, trays, plates, utensils, and other
serving equipment.
  • Washes and scours food service equipment, appliances and serving areas.
  • Assists in setting up food preparation lines.
  • Heats, sets up, sells, and serves food to students and staff.
  • Stores kitchen cooking utensils and other equipment.
  • Assists in the preparation of food, involving such activities as preparing sandwiches,
mixing salads, grating cheese, and preparing fruits and vegetables.
  • Acts as cashier, counts cash receipts, and prepares simple records.
  • Performs other related duties as required.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

✓ Must score 70% or better on the Food Service Worker Examination.
