Job Summary !
Reporting to the Chief Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical diagnosis. Produces and evaluates ultrasound images and related data. Will need to rotoate to Westford, and the Breast Health Center in Concord.
Minimum Qualifications
§ Education
o Graduate of an educational program that meets eligibility for ARDMS registry.
§ Experience
o Previous experience as a sonographer strongly preferred.
§ Licensure and/or Certification
o Current registration with ARDMS
OR
o ARDMS-eligible with ARDMS achieved within 1 year of hire.
o Incumbents hired before August 1, 2009 will have until August 1, 2010 to achieve ARDMS.
o BLS healthcare provider required.
§ Skills
o Ultrasound scanning skills in vascular, OBGYN, abdominal and small parts required.
o Must be able to understand oral and written medical/radiological/sonographi! c terminology.
o Must have comprehension of cross-sectiona! l anatomy and correlation with anatomical structures.
o Must be able to identify pathological processes.
o Ability to read, write, and communicate in English required.
o Computer skills required.
o Ability to maintain confidential information.
