RN Charge Nurse, OB/GYN Department

Description: Brockton Neighborhood Health Center is looking of RN Charge Nurse, OB/GYN Department right now, this job will be placed in Massachusetts. The OB/GYN Charge Nurse’s primary responsibility is to provide oversight and supervision for the OB/GYN nursing department. This includes supervising nurse! s and medical assistants. The Charge Nurse works with the OB Lead Midwife in guiding the department practices. Additional responsibilities include performing nurse visits, telephone triage, follow-up on lab results and assisting other nurses as needed.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS :
- Maintains a professional environment in a multi-provider, multi-discipline organization
- Maintains a patient centered environment including but not limited to:
- Provision of care and advocate for OB/GYN patients and their families based on prudent nursing judgment and acceptable standards of practice
- Efficient patient flow and assisting providers in prioritizing visits and telephone follow up of previously seen patients
- Performs tasks and procedures within the scope of a registered nurse (R.N.) and legal guidelines of the nurse practice act
- The OB/GYN nurse will be an RN (BSN preferred)
- Adheres to Board! of Nursing regulations
- Performs nursing tasks in the! OB/GYN department
- Must be dependable, reliable, able to work independently but also needs to work collaboratively with providers and nursing
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of OB/GYN experience
- Bi-lingual a plus
