Baystate Medical Practice Northampton OB/GYN has a part time outpatient CNM! opportunity available. We offer a supportive, stimulating environment. The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecologic health care based on signed protocols. Our services include family-centered prenatal and obstetrical care in addition to gynecology care.
Provides comprehensive patient history, conducts physical examinations and treatment, ordering laboratory and diagnostic tests. Develops and implements a plan of care utilizing appropriate diagnostic studies and treatments, and evaluates the outcome of care, using the clinical skills and judgments inherent in advanced practitioner education.
Works with other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate; and maintains responsibility for the clinical management of the patient.
Acts as a consultant to colleagues and health care team members in the area(s) of clinical expertise; serves as a resource to staff.
Demonstrates ability to f! unction effectively as a clinical preceptor as necessary.

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and actively seeks opportunities to broaden clinical expertise.
Successful completion of an approved midwifery education program recognized by American College of Nurse-Midwives. Current certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Massachusetts CNM licensure. Masters degree in Nursing, public Health, Education or related field. Five years full-scope midwifery clinical experience. Familiarity with current obstetrical research. Excellent communication skills.
