Seeking Nurse Educator for Academic Medical Center in
Boston
Position Summary:
Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluat! ing
the staff development and educational activities for
assigned areas. Assures the quality of patient care
delivered on assigned units through the assessment and
development of the nursing staff. Participates in the
development and implementation of educational programs
for the entire Nursing Department.
- Collaborates with Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse
in defining nursing standards, practices, and
educational needs of patient and nursing staff.
- Conducts an educational needs assessment for area(s)
- Implements and evaluates orientation, in-service,
assigned areas.
- Develops competency level of nursing staff with
unit(s).
- Implements curricula, ! instructional strategies,
educational supplies and equipment. Recommends
changes to the curricula based on feedback and
current clinical and/or educational evidence.
- Applies evidence-based educational methods and
expertise.
- Participates with Nurse Manager in coordination of
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related healthcare field
required.
Must have at least 3 years of clinical nursing
experience with 1 year experience in clinical preceptor
and/or charge nurse role; experience in teaching highly
desired.
Currently holds an active RN license in the State of
Massachusetts.

Qualifications
MA License (or eligible) as a registered professional
