Full time opportunity for the experienced medical assistant working in a lead role as the Clinical Team Lead! er supporting our dynamic Maternal Fetal Medicine /OB-GYN Department located at our Kenmore practice.
Overall responsibilites of the role includes keeping a very busy and growing practice flowing smoothly. Functions as liason to the clinicians, medical secretaries and medical assistants in the OB/GYN practice. Requires to work independently to provide seamless flow of patients in the office each day between ultrasound and consultation appointments, and to provide oversight of a very complex schedule for two Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, a nurse, and an ultrasonography unit that services both MFM and non-MFM clients, with and without physician office visits.
Additional responsibilities includes scheduling daily patient appointments for ultrasound and/or MFM office visits, preparation/restocking ultrasound room ,Room patients, including obtaining vital signs when indicated. Obtain labs, work with technician when assistance may be required, facilitate movement o! f patients between care providers, Coordinate and manage daily! office flow among sonography, MD office visits in exam room, consultations with MD, RN appointments, and NST (MFM patients). coordinate patient injections, education sessions, pharmacy orders, and referrals prior to patient leaving the office. Initiate calls to primary OB clinicians for the MD or sonographer with results reports as needed, place u/s orders and assist patient to schedule next appointment(s) at the direction of MFM clinicians.
Manage the Kenmore MFM and US monthly schedule and coordinate schedule information with varied sites for coordination of schedules. Review of appointment schedules, check phone lines for messages. Reschedule patients if necessary.Assists department Medical Assistants as able, and provide (and receive) cross coverage.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years Medical Assistant experience in a direct OB/GYN specialty. Requires strong lead experience supporting the specialty practice.Excellent communication and interpersonal s! kills. Ability to work independently. Capable and enjoys working with all disciplines. Ability to multi task in a busy environment. Strong excellent computer skills required. Electronic Medical Record experience required. A strong understanding and proven success in providing excellent service to patients resulting in excellent patient satisfaction.
Education:
College degree or Certificate from a Medical Assisting program
